International Students of BSMU Traditionally Celebrate Navaratri
At the turn of September and October, students of the Indian Community at Bukovinian State Medical University (BSMU) traditionally celebrated one of the most important Vedic festivals — Navaratri. This festival, known as the Days of the Divine Mother, symbolizes the triumph of good over evil.
This year, senior students of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Faculty also joined the celebration. On behalf of the university administration, Associate Professor Mykola Haras, Deputy Dean, delivered a congratulatory speech. The event was also attended by faculty curators — Associate Professors Iryna Balaniuk, Olena Blinder, and Vira Shuper, as well as representatives of the Student Council.
The tradition of celebrating Navaratri at BSMU unites not only international students but also Ukrainian students who are interested in India’s rich cultural heritage. Such events promote intercultural friendship and help foreign students better adapt to life and study in Ukraine.
